I don't have that model but I do have a model with a Ford supplied rear end. What are you having issues with?

The bearings on the Pinon shaft wore out. Second time bought it with 10,055 miles on it and before we picked it up at the dealer they called and said they heard a noise they brought it to a Ford dealer they fixed it according to them changed everything out. We go on vacation and not even 2500 miles again it goes out on a major highway during rush hour. Ford will not buy it back because to qualify for the lemon law it is 2 years from the original purchases. But they said it will be fixed right this time. You would think when you spent all this money on something like this it would be right.

Got a call from Ford and they are going to replace the whole under carriage, instead of replacing parts. Guess they realized there was more to the problem then they originally thought, now we have to wait to see how long it is going to take. it will be 3 weeks on Monday.

Just out of curiosity, is your model on the E450 or E350?

Do mean the 3rd member (axle ) assembly? The "whole under carriage" to me means the frame of the rig. ???

Somewhat related to this, how often do you change the rear differential oil?

I had same kind of irrue with a Suburban. Pinion bearings loud. Dealer replaced them and 6000 miles later they wete loud agIn. I did myself 2nd time, 4 hours and $75 in parts. I do not think they cleaned after initial failure. I did with a lot of brake clean.

If they replace entire 3rd member you shoild be good to go. Likely either poor setup or just a bearing failure. Not common but it does happen.

Really can't ask for anything more then a complete axle replacement. Also, why would Ford even consider a Buyback? They only made the incomplete chassis and besides that RVs are not covered by the Lemon Law.

On the Brightside, your RV is fixed at a Ford dealership. They have way more competent mechanics and the turn around time is much shorter then at any RV shop.

24c

I also had a problem with the rear end on 2014 24 c e350 with around 10 thousand miles, they replaced all the gears and bearings. Took them three weeks in may was not happy. Never did get the paperwork from ford.

That was one of the first 24c and had a lot of problems I thank the e350 is two small for that rv. One of the reasons I traded it for the 28z and it was to small and a lot of problems, I have had good luck with the 28z with 25 thousand mils in three years

Look at the manual if I remember the oil is not changed in the differential. Good for the life of the differential. For me on the 24c was 10 thousand miles.
