ACA27.2 forward waste tank

Hi all,

My ACE 27.2 has 2 gray water tanks. The midships tank, which drains the kitchen sink, has a weird angle. There is a removable disc in the compartment to run the drainage hose thru, but to use it you have to severely crimp the hose. Terrible design. I tried a 90 degree elbow, no luck. Has anybody encountered this problem? If so, how did You fix it?

Thx. Rich Guess

Often the pipe section with the discharge will swivel to point the discharge... Not always obvious or easy to move. Perhaps a pic will let us see if this is the case.
There are also issues where things just don’t line up...

27.7 waste

Doesn’t swivel. I took the fitting off (valve is next to it, comes off too) and rotated it, but no change. I can drain the tank, but it will eventually damage the drain hose. Seems like a problem unique to the 27.2, much like the passenger seat not swiveling around. I love the layout, just a few glitches here and there.

We have a 27.2 also. I never run the hose through the bottom of the galley gray tank wet bay we don’t leave it hooked up. I just hook up the hose and run through the door to dump the tank. On a full hook up site we are hooked up at the rear wet bay for gray (showers) drain and black tank dump. As the galley tank holds 37 gallons that’s a lot of dirty dishes it only needs to be drained about once a week.

Yes. Push the lever on the right side of the seat backward to unlock the seat then it should swivel. You need to move the seat forward first, remove the arm of the sofa, ( pull it straight up ) then the seat should swivel around.

Thx. Didn’t know about lifting couch arm up. Will give that a try.
