Interesting: On our older/legacy 24.1 the front radio controls the two speakers in the front and the two speakers in the back bedroom. The fader allows fading between the front & rear. (No separate radio in the rear.)

Well, Jamie....I have never been in our bedroom while the Axxera has been on...it might be possible that both radios access the interior speakers...as the only time I have heard the Jensen speakers is when in the bedroom..or outdoors..Will make that a project, tomorrow, to discover if they are wired to both radios.

On my 2016 Vegas 24.1 I can have the Axxera in the front and the Jensen in the back and/or outside playing the same FM channels. Sounds good. AM on the Jensen is MIA. The dealer gets to figure that one.

YES...that would work ! I don't think the antenna on the Jensen is very good..I think I read on another thread something about that. I have found better reception on FM . But, we seldom use the radio in the bedroom...used it once, so far, outside.

VKB,

When the wall unit holding the Jensen radio fell off the wall in the bedroom I found the antenna to be a wad of wire stuck in the wall.

Doc,

For rear speakers you wire into the Green and Green/Black wire for the left rear speaker and Purple and Purple/Black wire the right rear speaker. These are in the harness coming off the radio. The front speakers run off the white and gray and white/black and gray/black wires.

My coach has two speakers over the couch which run off both the Axxerra and the sound bar for the television.

Doc...I remember your saying that, when that happened..thanks for the reminder...
for anyone who has terrible AM reception on that Jensen (like us)...we should pull that radio and string that antenna out !

It should be noted that the long free wire is typically the FM antenna. The AM antenna looks more like a bunch of copper wire coiled around a bar.

Axxera & Jensen speakers & EQ

We have had a discussion regarding speakers ..2016 Axis 24.1
this evening I checked out everything on our Axxera ..
The 2 front Sony speakers on either side of the front seats serve the Axxera, only ...
The Axxera does not connect to the 2 rear/bedroom speakers nor the outside speakers.
The EQ handles the adjustments well..I punched up the Bass x 2 and
dropped the treble x 2
Of course, EQ settings are all about personal preference

Regarding the Jensen in the bedroom...it serves the 2 speakers in the bedroom and the 2 outdoor speakers ...
The bedroom speakers are not good quality .. chatter ...
in the EQ I dropped the Bass -2 ... and it solved that problem.

I too was very frustrated with this unit. Then I found the remote control for it and I figured the volume adjusting would be made easier. No such luck! I still have to get out of the rear camera mode to adjust radio volume.

The way I get around it is to use the bluetooth link from my iPhone to connect to my various sources of music, news, etc. Now I can use the phone volume controls to control the output of the unit.

Good idea...and during our recent trip, from which we returned today, I found on the Axxera...to search channels simply hold down the up or down arrows and it goes to the next strongest station. I had not had time to work with it until the recent trips.
I am, now, concerned how long the touch area of the screen will hold up, depressing it to search for stations. Perhaps, back to the remote which I have not had much success.

Yes, we have a pair of speakers for the phone too ! or use cd's !

Actually, we have had very good results with the Axxera ..
and, we do not leave the rear camera on the trailer or hitch mount all the time anyway...so the radio volume situation is not an issue.

Has anyone had problems with the Axxera AV614BH. We had our's go out traveling along the east coast cities (e.g. NY, Philadelphia) leaving me without the benefit of my cameras for lane changes. The screen went black. Called Thor. Since it is 16 months old it is not their problem. Mito says it is an electronics issue and will need to be repaired by a THor dealer. Hate to gripe, but our 2015 Miramar 34.2 has spent almost as much time at the dealer as it has with me.

Did you try pushing the reset button located on the right side of the radio? It's very small, you will need a paper clip to do it..

Radio

I tried the reset. No luck. I have not located a fuse or breaker that would allow me to manually kill power and reboot from scratch.

As a note, I usually view the rear camera and turn the volume down before switching to radio, or in my case the Aux input for Sirius, so that it minimizes background wind noise coming in from the rear microphone.
