The AGMs will also take a lot more abuse than lead acid. They spent a good part of the time on their sides in my sailboat, being pounded into the ocean waves. They stood up a lot better than the lead acids. I don't have any where near those extreme conditions in my Axis, but when I am traveling over dirt, potholed roads I wonder how much toll that takes on my lead acid batteries? No way to compute that.
