I took out my 2 Seiki TVs and replaced them with Vizios. Seiki"s went right where they belong, in the trash.

No cable in Fort Wilderness at Disney World

We love camping at Fort Wilderness but my 2 Seiki TVs would never get a cable reception, my third TV which is a different brand would get it. I replaced the Seiki's with 2 Vizios and threw them out. I had to rent a converter box at the park in order for the Seiki's to get the cable tv at the park. One of the workers there was familiar with the Seiki TV issues..

Seiki's

[QUOTE=Buzz102;23139]We just bought this Hurricane 31S so I'd have thought the systems would be absolutely up to date but here we are at an RV Park in Florida and we're getting only 17 of the stations they have when there should be over 100 coming in.

The fellow who came over from the Park office to try to help us thinks that these 3 SEIKI TVs are analog TVs and need to be converted to digital.

Has anyone had this problem?

YES it's not you. The TV's are about as cheap as you can get. It needs a QAM tuner.

Seiki TVs

I have 3 Seiki Tv in my Miramar, I never get them to work on campsite cable. I bought a dish with converter and no problem on the 50" and I use the Antenna on the other two.

Had Seiki TVs and never had a problem in 99% of the CG turn off TV antenna amplifier, switch TV to cable and do scan to pick up channels for the CG your in Need to do it for every CG

We've discussed this topic on the forum quite a bit. The Seikis have a digital tuner, BUT it is not Quadrature Amplitude Modulator (QAM) compatible. What that means is any cable signal that is encoded (like the cable system in Fort Wilderness) will not be decoded by the Seiki tuner. Our Seiki's have found cable channels if the RV Park had Dish or some other non-coded system. We can not scan cable channels in Fort Wilderness and about 2 or 3 other RV resorts where we have camped.
