Sway and Stabelizer bars
We have a 2020 Windsport. Have had her out on a couple of trips. Has anyone installed Sway and or Stabelizer bars to help with the wind gusts of Semis passing by?

Best to review this thread.
Also search for “cheap handling fix” for your F53 chassis

Suspension on F53
The opinions vary from "good right off the lot" vs. get out your wallet. I got out the wallet and I am much happier driving the rig now.

For those who clicked here not knowing what the op wanted to know :
I'm about to pour some urethane sway bar and end link bushings for E450 chassis.
I'm doing some durometer research and should have them installed by March 1st.
Anyone interested/knowedgable in this/these?
Unless someone finds me the link to pre-made urethane goodies. I don't know if f series stuff fits or not.
They made a world of difference on my trucks....

Huh...
Not sure if bushings will make as noticeable difference as installing the Helwig Sway bar package (with polyurethane bushings included).
Also, it's best to install new MOOG end links to connect the anti-sways, as they are much more robust than the stock Ford OEM end links.
Of course, with your highly unique and much desired 6 x 6 drivetrain on your Axis 24.1, you have front leaf springs (vs the E450 stock coil springs).
And those should already greatly assist with the anti-sway.
Correct me if I'm wrong...

I don't have any sway that I know of.
But I figured I'd test it out to be sure.
Did you read in the 6"lift thread where the installer of that lift was telling the Ford e450 vehicle owner to unhook his sway bar to get rid of bump steer?
And the owner defended the installer?

YES I HAVE!!!! I installed Sumo Springs on the front of my 2018 Windsport 29m myself. Not too hard and it made a noticeable difference. I had Camping World install a rear Road Master stabilizer bar on the back and wow, what an improvement. Would have done those myself also but my impact wrench would not break the nuts holding the upper mounts. Worth it since I drove to California from NC and it was like driving a mini van!! Bob Trice

I found the Trac Bar helped with the "tail wag" from wind and semis on our F53 chassis. I also had the heavy Roadmaster sway bar installed in the rear.

For my 29m, I did air pressures based on weight, front end alignment, CHF, saf t plus and front sumos. It drives great now.
