2017 Thor Challenger changes

Just thought I'd share this paper from the Thor rep on the changes for the 2017 model year Challengers. I also have pics of the new interior colors, new cabinet color, and new exterior color, if anyone is interested.

FYI - the paper is wrong; the new wood color is Pacific Cherry, not Milan Cherry.

I guess I better hang on to my 37ND. It appears it will soon be a classic. Are they going to add the outdoor kitchen option to another floorplan or do away with it in the Challengers? The nice thing about the 37ND is that it is the only Thor Class A with an outdoor kitchen without having the full wall slide.

I like the addition of the entry step light. I had a very long discussion with Thor about the poor design of the exterior light being on the slide and it not lighting the step at night.

Forgive me if your reference about the only outdoor kitchen in the Thor class a line is for challenger models only, but the Hurricane 31s does not have a full wall slide.

Glad there is at least one other. When I looked at Hurricanes in 2013 one of the 34s was the only outdoor kitchen with a full wall slide and lots of problems. Same for the Super C. Then came the Miramar 34.2 again full wall slide and problems.

Thanks for sharing rhiannon. So looks like the changes are mostly colors and some bolt on hardware except for the stow location. Did you happen to see where that was

Right now, we simply put in on one of the bunkbed.

My mistake, Thor started putting outdoor kitchen in 2 slide units in 2015. Until then, when we were looking, they were only in units with the full wall slide. The 2016 Challenger 36TL also has the outdoor kitchen without full wall slide.

One thing I noticed is that Thor is no longer listing the 3TRAK system on the longer slides. Are they going to 3TRAK on all slides or did they just drop it from the brochures?

No, I haven't seen a 2017 in person yet. The rep said the first 2017s should be leaving the factory in about 2 weeks.

This is the new riverside paint job for the 2017 Outlaw/Challenger. Since I ordered a 2017 Challenger 37LX with this paint job and won't take delivery until June, i wanted to see an actual photo of it just in case, so I asked the regional sales manager to get me a picture of an RV with it. He told me a few were coming back from paint with this new color scheme and took a picture for me. I can say I really like this color scheme and cannot wait to get mine in June.

KCook - I'd like the answer to that also. Where is the stowed position for the table?

Not sure where you folks store yours but I moved mine from under the bed to an outside storage area. Other than one time to make sure it was in good shape I haven't used that table and find the mounting plate in the floor serves to collect dirt and dust. When it was stored under the bed it just created problems when I tried getting to the folding dinette chairs so the table and leg had to go outside.

Dave - just saw that there appears to be designated storage space in the 2017's. I store the table in the bunk beds since we use all the time. Just didn't know if they had a storage plan specifically for it.

Would be interesting to know. Could be a mod for the future depending on where and what would be required.

We use our table all the time, it serves as a place for my surface computer.

Has anyone found out or seen where the stowed position for the front oval table is yet? I am really curious. We use ours all of the time but have never really found a good location to keep it at.

In my 2017 Challenger 37LX, The oval table stores under the bed. I added some non-skidmaterial to keep it from sliding around. The pole stores in the rear hallway closet. There are 2 plastic clips that hold it in place.
