2016 ACE 27.1: water heater bypass?

We will need to de winterize our 2016 ACE 27.1 soon. We paid to have it winterized because we didn’t know how to do it and felt better to spend the money and do it right. However, I don’t know where the water heater bypass is so I can turn it on after flushing the lines. Can anyone help? Also, if you have any tips on flushing the lines that would be helpful. Is there anything else to do other that running the water in the sinks and flushing the toilet until the water is clear and then turning the water heater on?

Still learning about this RV!

Looking forward to getting out on the road in April!

Kathy
Bought used 2016 ACE 27.1 in August 2016
Retired and loving it!

The bypass valves are typically on the water heater. The easiest way to find them is note on the outside where the water heater is and look for a corresponding panel on the inside in that position (you may have to remove some screws).

Remember not to run the water heater until you know its full of water--especially when using the electric element for heat.
Looking at pictures here: https://www.rvtrader.com/listing/201...27.1-120191733
looks like the water heater is right behind the drivers rear wheel.
On your floorplan that would put it probably in/under the closet closest to the bathroom in the back bedroom.

Thanks for that info. I will look in the bedroom and take out the drawers. Might be there. Thanks also for the tip on making sure there is water in the water heater before turning it on!
