Elimination of the rear awning arm should allow Thor to increase the size of the rear compartment door so that larger items like chairs, tires, or bikes can fit easier. They've done this before on models where the arm was further forward because awning was shorter. Now that there is no arm they should revise and upgrade this design detail. It wasn't revised on prototype (listed as a 2017 Vegas by dealer) but maybe Thor will make the minor revision later.
This picture shows why rear compartment door wasn't larger previously because of awning interference.

Just in case Thor follows forum ....
It took me a while to find this picture, but I hope they consider making the rear storage compartment a little more like this one we had on a Thor-built motorhome rental (a version of Chateau 28A). The huge space and flat floor which made loading easy was a great feature. In this picture the cooler that can be seen is about 17-inches tall, which shows how much room there is for large items.
This particular motorhome had a step up to bedroom which the Axis 24.1 doesn't have, so it's likely the rear compartment in an Axis is not quite as a tall -- maybe 7 or 8 inches less. It would still be plenty for kayaks or bikes on their side.

As an option, add a table and spare tire well as in Chateau 28A, even if smaller. The table may have to be a little shorter, but space for spare tire between frame rails is already available. It's otherwise wasted space under motorhome.

My preference would be a significant redesign of storage compartment to include relocation of generator and dropped chassis rails to make a Euro-style garage, but since that's more than a simple rework, maybe a simple revision to make a smaller version of the 28A's Mega Storage will be considered. Larger doors, spare tire well in center, and picnic table on passenger side to provide a large flat floor. The driver side could remain as at present due to generator location.

'Solar ready' meaning
I'd appreciate if someone knows what Thor means by 'solar ready' means?
That is, is there wiring stubbed to the roof for possible panels?...and/or a recepticle to plug in a portable Zamp panel?.....And/or a wiring to where a solar control/monitoring panel could be installed in the unit?
Thanks

While prewiring for solar, it'd be nice if they also prewired for an inverter. Chances are those who install solar will also install an inverter to at least power TVs and small low-power items.

A significant change for this 24.1 is that Thor added a rear door in center of storage compartment. I think it's very functional but detracts a little from previous cleaner look.
Also note passenger side compartment door was left smaller than it could be.

Wow really going for that "jewel" look with the LEDs on the headlights, that huge "AXIS" above the grille and the chromed in fog lights.
I like it. The "AXIS" is reminiscent of my old F-350 which had "SUPERDUTY" emblazoned in a similar location.

Interior appears the same as on "prototype" Vegas previously posted.

Nice.....What type of 'solar ready' wiring etc. does your unit have?...e.g. Some wiring run to the roof, and or to a spot on interior wall for a solar unit controller?...

Another interior angle.
Perhaps present owners can notice changes, but except for kitchen and Euro cabinets, it looks very similar -- particularly as it affects function (except for rear access door to storage compartment).

Mine? None its a 2014 model.
Chance? None--he doesn't have one; he is just posting pictures of an Axis he found online (unless he picked one up which would be surprising LOL ).

This is not mine, I'm just posting first pictures I've seen. Haven't even seen one in person yet. Just yesterday was told it would be 3 to 4 more weeks -- clearly not the case for all dealers.
