How to find the light switch on the Firefly wireless panels

I have read a couple different threads complaining about the flat firefly panels that turn on the lights. The issue is they aren't backlit so its very difficult to turn on the lights in the dark or for that matter, anytime.

Here is what I did with all the unlit light panels. I bought a small piece of thin black foam with sticky back tape on it. I cut it into about 1/2" by 1/4" pieces. I then peeled off the backer and stuck one on each panel over where that rooms light switch is. That way you just feel for the panel and then the raised foam. Bam, you found the light switch. Push on the foam and you have light!

This has made it so easy to turn on the lights in the dark or even in the daylight without having to look. Took our 9 year old grandson with us just recently and he asked where the light switch was. I had him close his eyes and I ran his hand over the switch. He felt the foam and pushed it. He never had any problems turning on the lights for the rest of our trip.

Hope this helps. Maybe others have come up with fixes.

We used the adhesive bumpers for cabinet doors. Works great.

If your RV supports it, we typically use the Vegatouch Mira phone app to control lights, as well as HVAC, Slides, Generator, etc.

Yes, we have the app but if you are getting up at night and want a light on, this is a lot easier than having to get your phone, open the app, wait for it to load and finally turn on the light. Plus our young grandkids don't have phones.

Yep, that's a great one too.

There have been a few times DW wanted to turn on a light. She gets her phone, opens the app, waits for it to load and then turns on the light. All this time she is standing next to the main Firefly panel. [emoji1787]

That's funny.

The app is great to stand outside when you open the slides to watch for obstructions or when your sitting outside and want your awning light on. I also use it in bed sometimes to control the HVAC. It's not the best way to turn on lights when you are just going room to room.

Clear, round cabinet door bumpers...worked great. Only put them on 1 or 2 of the buttons per panel. I read about this a while back and did it. The wife thinks it was my idea...I'm her hero
