Mattress Question

Just bought a 2014 Thor Four Winds 26A. The rear slide has a fold-up mattress to allow the top of the slide to close over the bed. We only sleep on Sleep Number beds and don't see an issue with allowing the bed to ride up the wall during closure or, if required, let the air out. Anyone dump the folding mattress or is it comfortable enough that I let my Sleep Number go with my Sunseeker trade-in.

We deflate our Easy Rest adjustable air mattress on travel days due to interference with the slide cabinets. The cabinets still push against the mattress, but it offers little resistance once deflated.
