Thor Arai 3901

good day, we have a brand new Thor Aria 3901 and all the slides went out fine, but when we went to bring them in, the main (driver side) slide started to come in about 3-4" - then stopped coming in on the right side and soon after the left.

able to extend them both out - no issue - but as soon as we try and retract them - starts out fine and soon stops.

any suggestions?

thank you,

Did you ever get it figured out? I have never had the issue but I think you look in the basement and look at the controller. There will be lights that will display that all is well or not. Sounds like they might have gotten out of sync when extended.

Did you try the resyncing procedure? Also lubing the slides may help.

The manufacturer states Not to lube the slider. This is a change from older models.

Understand that update, But, after watching several RV techs videos, they state to lube, even though the manufacturer says not to anymore. I'm going with the techs that are called out to fix the slide issues, since most are still recommending to lube.

Only my .02, but being a tech for over 40 years, I firmly believe in preventive maintenance vice corrective.

If you must lubricate the slide the make sure you only lubricate the jib. Lubricating the tracks can cause the drive gears to skip over track's slits causing the slide to tilt up or down on one side. That is the major reason the full wall slides have 3 tracks.
