Tv

I have a 2013 Thor Daybreak. My outside tv needs replacing soon. I cannot find a tv with the same dimensions. It is a 32 in but it is 2 in thick. Any suggestions?

It's a standard $99 to $999 32 inch.
Where have you looked?

It's 2" thick because it used old fashioned fluorescent back lighting. All modern TVs use LED back lighting so they are much thinner and lighter. Just find a TV that will fit in the hole - may be up to 40" depending on the size of your hole.

Although mounting holes are standardized, there are many different sizes depending on what the TV manufacturer felt is the right one for the TV. But there is no standard as to where on the TV the holes are. Do you may have anywhere from 75 mm x 75 mm up to 200 mm x 200 mm but any place on the back of the tv from the top to the bottom (they should be centered left to right). So a new mount may also be in order.

Your timing is good, Black Friday sales are on! Smart TVs just get cheaper and better.

A couple footnotes...
1) Organic LED (OLED) are becoming pretty mainstream now. Instead of using a backlight, each individual LED provides the actual image - either on or off - resulting in much deeper blacks. Which means the LED backlit units can be bought incredibly cheap now.

2) The downside to "smart" TVs is IF the firmware isn't able to be updated/upgraded, the entire TV becomes obsolete in a short time. In my opinion, it's better to buy a "dumb" TV, but one with top notch hardware/picture quality. Then use a $45 plug-in HDMI streaming device (Fire Stick) which turns your basic TV into an upgradable "smart" TV. This way you aren't locked in to what came installed on the TV, or it's clunky navigation. You can install what programs (apps) you choose.

Our TV was mounted on an arm that swung out from the over cab bunk. It pointed straight back, so I installed a bracket that allowed it to swivel and point down more. We then grew tired of looking up at the ceiling to watch it, so we bought a 32" (40" dumb tv was installed) and sit it on the dinette when we want to watch. Since it only weighs about 10 pounds, we store it on the over cab bunk. We use streaming services, so we got a Samsung that our Spectrum app is installed on along with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+. We don't watch OTA channels or park cable, but if we wanted to, it is a simple hookup.
We also eliminated all but one remote control.
