Axis Windshield Washer Fluid Motor

I just had the washer fluid motor changed under warranty. Has anyone had trouble with them after replacement? I am asking so I will know whether to buy a better aftermarket motor or just keep the new one.

So far ours has been good. We don't really use the washer that much though.

That is my fear, not using it much. I don't want to use it in need and then have it blow and find the wipers not working. I may go ahead and replace it with a non-Thor supplied unit. Anyone have a model number for another supplier?

I think they just had a bad batch of them--it wasn't like all the units failed in the field. They were dead from the start.

Here is the aftermarket pump that fits; ACI # 172186. I think I bought it at Advance Auto, but others may have it also. I think they cost in the $11-12 range IIRC.
The other two from Thor failed and I was out of warranty. Like Jamie said, I think they went thru a bad batch of the motors as Thor wanted the old units sent back to them.

Just had my pump motor replaced a bout two weeks ago. The wiper worked fine until I pressed the washer fluid button. CW told me that they replace several of these pumps every month.
