Axxera AV614BH Radio

I have an Axxera 614BH radio in my Thor super c MH. Can the radio and rear view camera operate at the same time? I can't find anything pertaining to this in the manual. When you have the radio on and select the camera the radio goes off.

I have the same radio, unfortunately radio is designed (installed) to turn off when you activate turn signals and place transmission in reverse. As you probably found out this is a very annoying feature. I found a radio shop that will install a another radio that will not turn off when turn signal / reverse is activated (downside is that it will cost me $$).

I dont know if mine is the same model, but on my Axerra, there is a button along the top edge next to the volume up button, which allows me to switch the screen to the rear camara full time without affecting the radio.

It’s been a few months but there should be the “Mode” button, top left. Normally tune radio, set volume. Now switch to camera. While in camera, press/hold Mode for about 1-2 seconds. It should switch to radio. Hold Mode to switch back and forth. Don’t believe you can change volume when in camera.

The reason the radio mutes when the camera is on is there is a microphone option for the rear camera. Some coaches came with rear camera microphone.

Yes as the above says - that is the reason. This has been discussed a few times on these forums. Here was my solution

Give Axxera a call and talk to them about your issue. Thats what I did last month and they sent me a new radio 3 versions better with all issues fixed. I was out of waranty also but they made an exception. You will have to send the old one to them first. It was a plug and play.
