Axxera Radio Aux Warning

We have xm radio that we plug into the Auxiliary input on the Axxera radio (and turn it on). This causes the warning on the radio screen "Drivers: Do not use the screen..." I realize this is a safety warning but we would like to go back to the main menu screen that shows the time and other buttons. (We are able to turn on the rear camera and it will stay on.) Every time we try to go back to the main menu it automatically changes to the warning screen.

Anyone know how to override that warning screen or work around?

No, but I know exactly what you're talking about. I would be interested in anybody else found a workaround the warning screen.

When I get this, I turn the radio off then back on.

I found a YouTube video that advised to ground the parking brake wire at the back of the radio to disable the "parking brake" requirement. I haven't tried it but plan on doing soon as I get this message when plugging iPhone to Aux jack.

Grounding the "pink" wire disabled the DVD lockout on the aux. We plugged the backup camera into the aux video and XM radio into aux audio. Works great and we have rear camera as we drive

Im assuming to ground the brown or pink wire involves pulling the radio out. At house, that falls under the category of if isnt not broke, dont fix it or something will break. I found an attachment for the xm to make it blue tooth capable. Since we dont blue tooth the phone, i may try that first. Thanks for all the input.

Well, in a VEGAS/AXIS it is as simple as removing 4 screws on the plate on top.of the radio, removing the plate, and looking down. All sorts of fun wires are there to.intrigue and fasinate

Grounding to the radio will get rid of the warning and allow the passenger to watch dvd while traveling. Easy fix.
