Bird Question

OK another strange question, we have a 28 year old African Grey Parrot we would like to take with us. Does anyone take their pet parrot with them, problems, issues, thoughts. Could we say flyin down the road, couldn't resist!
Thanks

No personal experience, but have friends who traveled a lot with theirs. They have a big 5th wheel, and I believe they put in in a smaller cage in the back seat of their truck when on the road.
Suggest you try some short trips to find out how your parrot handles the stress of travel. Good luck!

We have traveled with a Quaker Parrot in our Class A during a hurricane evacuation. The Parrot "Buddy" traveled very well in a smaller than usual cage in the bathroom. It was amazing our dog a hunter pointer was not bothered at all. We all escaped and enjoyed a few days while the storm hit. I hope your Gray enjoys your new travel home.

I no longer have a bird but my first thought would be to make a perch that mounts to the dash area (seat belt could be a problem). He just might enjoy the ride up there. There used to be a guy down the street that put his parrot on his shoulder when he road his motorcycle and the bird would tuck into next to his neck and chest to keep from getting blown off. It was so cool to see. Wish I could be of more help, good luck and safe travels.

We have a African Gray and a Sun Conure. They have traveled with us for 15 years. We just bought our 2nd Class C, Quantum PD31. We mount their cages above us and use velcro to hold them in place.
