They haven't given me a cause at this point. Not sure if they will. Be as of noon the tech was still in process of disassemble.

It sounds odd to say this...
But I hope that they can find you a definite cause for the problem.
If they do: they will then be able to figure out how to prevent it from happening again.

Picked up the chateau this morning. The front cap seems to be repaired well, time will tell. Had sever storms last night in waukarus, remenents of tornadoes south in Missouri and no apparent leaks. Really appreciate and want to thank Rick our service writer and Ed the tech that made the repairs. Wish they had guys like this at the factory....
So anyway on the way home the bypass pex setup on the water heater loosened and flooded the floors, got to changed to flexable hose when I get back home. Just Another repair for the list....ha

Did you see my question to you regarding the under sink area of your Super C?

Looks like lack of screws, wrong type, and wrong placement. All fixed now time will tell.

I did not, but there are times I find myself wondering why I'm sitting on the toilet...sometimes things slip through the holes on the side of my head pretty quick. Please re send or PM.

One screw

I found one screw left in place. The rest fell out when I removed the headliner.

I used the existing holes where the marker light would have been mounted. The plastic strips come with slide room kits. Very strong and I use it often for various reasons. I need to repair the exterior caulking and paint. Think I will trim it back neatly and cover it with black Caulk. And not paint it. The front bumper cover is about to fall off. Not much holds it on. I will probably just glue it down.
Sorry about the sideways photos.

Check the exterior vertical seems on both sides attaching the cap to the main body.
The seals may have compromised under the trim, results will be water leaks.

Chateau, 2019 I think, 35M? Less than 30,000 miles. The owners are very happy with it aside from the separation issue. They say it doesn’t even down shift in the Colorado mountains. Meant to have more details about it but I am trying to get it finished by tomorrow.

Vertical trim

Here you can see a little of The horizontal joint leading to the vertical joint. It is cracking a little. The paint isn’t cracking on the vertical seam but I will take a closer look at it tomorrow.
Thanks.

I’m just a tech at a dealer north of San Antonio. I think it is warranty work.

The vertical seem I'm speaking of runs from the roof down to bottom of the m.h. it has a molding cover snapped over the seem. They have a tendency to bow outward when the cab over flexed up. Hence causing a leak.

The one picture shows it is an F-550. I don't believe the 2019 Chateau's came in the F-550 chassis but I could be wrong. It could be an older Chateau.... maybe a 2018?

The paint job in the one picture looks a little like my Magnitude..... I have a 2020 Magnitude that was built in 2019 on a 2019 F-550 Chassis.

Given it has 30,000 miles already, I'm gonna say it is a 2017 or 2018 Chateau.

Looks like your repair is pretty solid.

I only have about 4,000 miles on my Magnitude so I will be keeping an eye on this thread and my coach!

Yup, same as my 2016 1/2, 35sk, with same problems. Owner my have caught it in time. Looks like you got repairs done before real water damage took place, like mine did.
nice work
