Super C Braking

I have a Four Winds super C with the 6.7 powerstroke diesel. Thor did not option this unit with an exhaust brake. Any of you super c owners, how well does this unit do in the mountains without an exhaust brake? I bought this 2016 unit used and have not driven any mountains yet. I would like to know what to expect or if I should invest in an after market brake.

It's my understanding the 2016 6.7 actually does have an exhaust brake but there is no manual button on the dash for it...its an automatic function. You can call any commercial Ford Truck dealer and verify/inquire about this. Seems this feature has been standard since the 2011 models.

Is your coach equipped with an exhaust brake and does it have a switch.

Mine does..2 switches top center of dash. It's a 2017 chassis. I read somewhere that 2011-2016 had exhaust brakes but no switches. I'll check with my friends at Peach State Truck Center...huge, older commercial Ford Truck dealer.
