Citation Sprinter Hot water heater by pass valve

Is there a easy way to get to the hot water heater bypass valves?
Also is there a easy way way toget the bleach solution into the fresh water tank?

Thanks

On my RV, the bypass valves are on the front side of the water heater. I have to pull a panel behind a cupboard below the oven to access it.

Essentially all the bypass valves do is to disconnect the hot water line from the hot water tank and connect it to the cold water line. This allows you to simultaneously blow both lines at once with an air compressor or filling with pink antifreeze when winterizing.

You can simply pour bleach into the water tank's fill tube, which should be on the side of the coach, possibly next to the city water inlet.

Cool Citation Sprinter Hot water heater by pass valve

They really did a number on conserving space with the citation sprinter. I can see the valves by removing the access panel under the bedroom window on the driver's side. But there is no way I can reach them through the opening. There is no fill tube, just the fresh water hook up.

When you say just a fresh water hook up, are you referring to "city water" which would be the pressurized water hose hookup.

If there is no other fill tube for the fresh water tank, then does the water tank fill from the city water connection? That seems unusual, but I suppose it would work.

OK.

Can you dribble some bleach into the city water connection before hooking the city water up? You probably don't need more than a small amount of bleach.

I called atwood, the manufactor of the wh. They said no bleach. I could use an alternative type of disenfectant like Thetford(sp?) makes. Thought I'd pass it along.
