Antenna wiring questions

Members,
For some time I've not been able to get any air/antenna stations in my Four Winds MH. So I got bold this past trip and pried open the plastic box on the head/top of the antenna and got a look at the electronics which appeared to be okay. So I traced the from the head down to the first connection and sure enough found that the copper center wire in the coaxial cable was gone/decayed. I remade the connection and went down to try the TV again sure that my results would be better. NOPE. I got nothing.
So I started ohm/continuity testing from the other end of the system and shabam, immediately found that the wire that ran from the Winegard amplifier to the TV was not working (the outer cable screw on fitting was not properly installed and had no contact).
So I tried the scan again only to have the same result, no air channels could be found.
So I pulled the boxes out of the AV cabinet and they were properly powered, but I discovered three different colored coaxial cables in the wall of the RV, one orange, one brown, and one black. The brown runs to what used to be a rear TV but I have no idea where the orange goes, nor the black.
I tried all three as potential antenna input cables but none worked.
Possible conclusions:
1) There exists yet another discontinuity somewhere between the box in the wall of the cabinet and the coaxial cable that enters the RV on the roof.
2) Although the Winegard amplifier appears to be okay it is NOT.
3) Or there is something else that maybe one of you can suggest?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
John

On a previous RV, I had no TV reception via the over the air antenna. After a few vocabulary enhancing moments, I decided to dig into the cabling. Turns out the coax on the antenna end and on the amplifier end had never even been stripped and connected to the termination points. Monday morning or Friday afternoon build?
