1st Year Summary With our 2016 Vegas 24.1

This is our 1st RV, was slightly used with under 2,000 miles. Dealer gave excellent PDI with great explaination of systems.

Unit drives fine, added Roadmaster Reflex. Carry a full spare and tools needed to change. Now over 8500 miles.

Issues: Drain under shower about 6 months in, corrected with rubber coupling.

Pros: Pulls race car trailer great. Wife has even towed to track without issue.
Nimble enough to fit in parking lots at Arbys, etc.
Is great quick tripping to Disney or pretty much anywhere else.

No real Cons, kicking myself for not doing this 5 years ago.

Mods planned:
Add inverter and tint.
Maybe sway bars at some point.

The only question mark at present concerns extended warranty. Do I keep it or dump it? None of the systems are outside my skillset. I had not realized there is no magic in simple systems used. Plus my dealer has moved to other side of state. Have to decide whether to keep in force.

Unit is solid, without issues may find at this point. I do go over it just like racecar to prevent surprises. I'd highly recommend this style of unit for couples. It fits us great.

Well 5 years ago the Axis/Vegas units didn't exist (first model year is 2014). To get something similar then would be a Class C (or Super C), or a Roadtrek or something like it (although that is smaller and more expensive).

We're on our 3rd season and still love it. Have had fewer issues each season.

The ease of use is impressive. A class C would have still been a step up towing racecar in summertime. The wifes Suburban towed fine but it is tough to cool off in summer. The Vegas simplifies everything.

I bet. The Suburban doesn't have a bathroom, a full kitchen, comfy beds, etc.

Extended warranty? I'm not a fan in most situations. My personal recommendation is dump it! Especially since you have some basic tech type skills.
