Class A Outlaw Winter Use

Hey All,

Complete newbie here. Couple of questions for all of you knowledgeable and experienced RV'ers. I have been kicking around the idea of getting an Outlaw to tote around my snowmobiles in the winter and of course summer toys in the summer. Have any of you ever used your outlaw during the winter? And if so:

1.) What mods are needed in order to accommodate winter use?
2.) How do they handle on less than ideal roads? (Snow/ice, etc)?
3.) How would the body and under carriage hold up to road salt?

I'm sure I will have more questions but these are what pop into my mind first. Thanks!

Welcome to our little corner of all things RV.
I've got no answers about putting an A-Class Outlaw in fhe freezer: I've got a C-Class...
But I can tell you that the issue of keeping things unfrozen, is the name of the game.
The "Outlaw As" have heated compartments for the tanks... they may still be running plumbing through areas that will need extra protection. You may also want to add some heaters (or at least some 100 watt lightbulbs...) down by the tanks, to help keep the contents in a fluid state.
I think that it's a bit of a case of give it a try: see what needs changing, and try it again.
Good luck!

(What kind of sleds do you have?)

Thanks for the welcome and also the intel!

I noticed the Class A has tank heaters, which is a step in the right direction. Guessing double pane windows will also help? Insulating the exposed pipes shouldn't be too big of a deal, or is it?

As for the sleds, I have a couple of Polaris Switchbacks.
