Funky dash warning lights

After three days of boondocking using only coach battery power (two batteries, new automatic isolator) and only depleting their charge to 2/3, when I started the coach, easily, three warning lights remained on-- ABS, traction control and some anti-skid function. As nearly as I could tell, these lights come on if the chassis battery is run down, but after i had run the rig for about 15min, my voltmeter showed 15.6v with the ignition off.
150mi ride home, lights stayed on, cruise control was inactive, engine performance seemed normal (pulling a trailer over hilly roads).
Any ideas/suggestions?
I have a 750mi trip this weekend, so I want to figger this out SOON.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers, Peter

Not real sure what the problem may be, but try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. That may reset everything.

I would read the codes first. Have a local garage read them. It has to be a good scanner to look at the abs. My guess is that one of the wheel speed sensors is open. Possibly a varmite might have been hungry. And ate the wires.

Bingo! The diagnostics showed defective ABS sensor that triggered the other codes. I had MB replace both rear ABS sensors and everything is restored-- except now I have a brake pad warning light. The MB service guy says he can replace it for $240!!!! I look at aftermarket sensors and they're inexpensive and YouTube shows me easy to replace. Its not safety related as I have plenty of meat on my pads (40K) so I'll do it myself at some point.

My take-home from this is that a bad signal from an ABS sensor triggers all kinds of stuff that's only peripherally related.

Does anybody know how to over-ride a limp-home mode in the event you're far from service or a tow vehicle?

Thanks for all your input.

Peter
