How good is the Denver mattress?Mine has the slim king and I have yet had time to take it out for a test camping trip.

Personally I would be just about as comfortable removing the mattress and sleeping on the base!!!
We bought a 4" foam topper for our bed and it is a LOT more comfortable. The king mattress is not a true king size, I used an electric knife and cut the foam to match the mattress size. After cutting the cover that goes over the foam was to loose. I used large safety pins to take up the slack at each corner, now the cover doesn't bunch up and the foam stays in place.
The way Thor carries on about the Denver mattress you would think it's the best thing next to sleeping on a cloud, NOT!!!

Not as good as a sleep number but I can live with it. It all depends on how you, not someone else, likes the comfort level of the mattress. A particular mattress is like liver and onions. Some folks like it while other folks don't.

At home we have a Sleep Number California King (split) ..
Love it !!
Have not checked into sizing of twin Sleep Number for our 24.1 twin beds..but, if possible...would definately go that alternative.
In the mean time...we cut 4" firm foam as a topper for our twin beds, which makes them more comfortable.
Regarding the Denver mattresses...on a previous Dorado B+ we bought a Denver 3 core mattress to replace the declining mattress in the rv. Loved it !

We added a memory foam topper, its much better. I plan on removing it for a select comfort when we go full time.

Love liver and onions, wife hates it!
Problem with replacing the mattress is the size. A standard king is 76 x 80, the "king" in our coach is 70 x 75. I haven't tried looking for a mattress but with the foam topper it is comfortable now so with stay with this for now.

When we ordered the replacement mattress for our Dorado, 5+ yrs ago,
we began our search, by Googling...mattress for motorhome with the size needed. We, easily, found the exact size we needed for that undersized Queen.
If I remember correctly, Denver Mattress can make any size you need.

We also bought a memory foam top for our Denver mattress and the comfort level has definitely improved.

My wife and I like the Denver mattress (almost 2 years with it) but will be adding a memory foam topper to match our sleep # at home.

Thanks for the info.In my old RV (2005 Pace Arrow) I replaced the quen with one from my house major inprovement. Not sure about the size of my king but know it is the slim model. I am the over weight model now lol. The papers on the cover say it is 72x76x6. I will try it and let you all know how well I like it.
Thanks
Alan

I believe that the Denver mattress Co makes all kinds and grades of mattress. I am sure they make some very high quality produces and am also sure those are not the ones that come standard from the factory.

We have owned 5 differant RVs and the Denver mattress is the most uncomfortable of them all. We to added a foam topper to help. Our last was a Sealy and wish we would have traded out before letting that one go.

Mine 2017 freedom elite is like a block of wood. We have 4" of memory foam and a pillow top and that makes it ok. I am also not one who is picky when it comes to beds but it really is like sleeping on a wood floor. I'm hoping overtime it will soften up.

I'm perfectly comfortable with ours, which is firm, but the wife likes her foam topper on her side since she likes more cushion...

The first thing we purchased for our 37GT was a new inner spring mattress. I'm not sure if all Thors come with a Denver Weekender or a better grade. It was very hard and thin. Like SuperD said, it was about like sleeping on the base. A topper wasn't an option since DW had an allergic reaction to one that we had in the past. We are very happy (and comfortable) since we replaced it. It came all rolled up in a box and we just put it on the base, cut the plastic wrap so it could unroll and after a few hours it was expanded and ready to sleep on.

Big Ben,
After looking at various reviews we got it from Parklane Mattress. They make residential as well as RV mattresses. I think they are located in Washington state, at least in the northwest. As I recall, we paid about $400 for a short queen. They were very helpful, found them on the internet and DW contacted them to make sure they were hypoallergenic. Definitely would do it again.
