Road noise

I have a question, We have a 2018 four winds 24 fs. It is the Mercedes sprinter.
We haven't been on a trip yet, but we took it to my daughter, 1 1/2 hr away and thought there was a lot of road noise. It does not have carpet in the front . I'm wondering if any of you have this and did you do anything to help with road noise.
I am so thankful for all of the help we have received from you avid r v'ers

We bought a 2015 Coachmen Prism last month. We took a trip from Florida to Virginia over 11 days. We have/had the front floorboard carpeted. We found the noise level of the Mercedes Sprinter quite loud even with the carpeting. My wife and I could only communicate in very load voices to be heard over the noise level in the coach. To be heard in normal voice level we found that about 50 miles per hour was max. At 70mph it was way too loud.

Well.....long story short, the noise level was one of the reasons we traded it in 30 days after purchase on a 2016 Thor Axis 25.2. There's a huge difference in the noise level. The Thor Axis is much quieter.

Many of us have added sound deading insulation under the dog house and in the engine bay (Esp under the dash from the inside engine bay on my Axis, and under the floors). I had great results. Not hard to do .... just time consuming. Do some searches on this subject and you will find a ton of links with pictures. Not too many Sprinters (That I noticed) but the principal is the same. Good luck.

thanks for the post..we too have taken owner ship of a thor,..24.1...of all the coaches I've owned , this one is the quietest, and smoothest riding..well… except for our alpine DP... that coach was nice...it just was too big for what I wanna do..

I'm surprised that the sprinter version of Thor's 24f is noisy as my wife has commented several times how much quieter our Four Winds 2018 24f is than our 32n Windsport was while on the interstate. Ours is the Ford e350 chassis. We have not done anything to improve the noise from the engine.
