Shower floor

The floor in my shower. Hurricane 29M, has a little flex near the drain. Is that normal in Thor products? I would like to shore it up, but can't seem to find a trapdoor to get to the p trap area. Any suggestions.

I have seen that complaint, or comment many times on this forum. Ours, too has a little flex near the drain. I worried a bit about it, but there seem to be no leaks, so we live with it, and if it develops a problem down the line, I will deal with it then. I frankly do not know how big a problem that may be, if any. Does not seem to be causing any problems so far.

Search Jerry's Hurricane Mods thread for 29M specific repairs for this issue.

This is the same in my 2018 Thor ace 30.2. Makes me feel much larger than I am

Above the right rear wheels is an access panel which gives you access to the shower drain from the bottom side. There is no support around the drain area, this gives you the soft spot. The drain area can be reinforced with pressure treated 2x4 and screws. Different people have used different methods but basically a little creative reinforcing will take care of the soft spot.

You can use the leveling jacks to raise the rear corner of the frame, then support the frame with a jack stand for safety, this will allow access to the drain panel.
