Covers for Failing Leatherette?

Just noticed the finish on our leatherette sofa is starting to fail. Little bits pealing away....
I've seen others post of this failure before here.

I called Thor, and of course got the take it to a dealer. I knew it wouldn't be in warranty and just wondered how much a replacement cover would cost me.....

So I found out who makes the stuff and called them. It's clear that the vinyl stuff is cheapo, and they know it. They said they are bound to provide what Thor spec's. I was told the fabric would likely hold up longer, and the vinyl is probably only good for 3-4 years. yep, seems about right.

The good news is that the pattern is still made
the bad news is that it's only available in the spec'd fabrics. Nothing better.

So, I guess I'll get a price just for grins from the dealer the next time I'm in.
But I can't imagine paying big money for poor materials again

so i'm wondering
has anyone here found a source for a good slip over cover for the Class C driver and passenger seat
and the sofa?

I had a 2011 Jayco GreyHawk and found decent driver and passenger seat covers at WalMart. As for the sofa, try IKEA, you might get lucky. Measure your coach sofa and compare to the sofa's at IKEA, then select a cover.

I just purchased a reversible sofa cover on Groupon. It fits the sofa perfectly, and it was only $19,

true enough, it's not top grain leather for sure.....
but honestly I don't find it too bad in regard to breathability & stickiness. I'd liken it to any cheap bonded leather furniture in that regard. it's not as durable, but in terms of stickiness.

DW wanted it specifically, thinking it would be better with the kids.... easier to wipe up crumbs and spills.... and it is. But long term it's not a wise investment at all!

Since we have a cat traveling with us...we found an attractive, inexpensive comforter (can you imagine that !) to place on on our couch...protects it from KC and is more comfortable than vinyl/leatherette, for us !

We've been thinking of purchasing the Freedom Elite 29FE, and the sofa is mostly fabric with leatherette on the top. I was bummed that the Four Winds model is the one with the full leatherette sofa option, but from what I see from the comments in this post, it seems it may be better to have cloth fabric instead. I googled the Groupon sofa cover, and found this. Seems like this may be the one. Wouldn't mind purchasing for my home as well at this price. http://gr.pn/2l42QGN
