Rotating Captain's Chair

I cannot rotate the captain's (driver's) chair all the way so that it faces straight back. I don't see any way to keep the steering wheel from stopping past 90 deg. Is that the way it is, or am I missing something?

There is a thread somewhere on this forum that gives the secret, at least it worked on our 24.1. Even so, once it is completely rotated, you really can't recline the seat back because it still hits the steering wheel. Guess that is part of the reason why we had theater seating installed in the slider.

If your seat is like mine you need to remove one of the arm rests.

1. Rotate the arm rest up
2. Push or hit the arm rest at the pivot point. While doing this "push/hit" rotate the arm rest backwards.
3. Once rotated down the arm rest will come out.
4. Recline the chair forward. This gives yoh more clearence

Now the chair can swing around without hitting the steering wheel.

Once turned move the chair toward tge livibg area. This lets you recline the chair backwards

Thanks Jerry! I will look at that in the morning.

Try the procedure listed here (without removing the arm):

POOF! Never thought about doing that to get the arm rest out of the way. Thanks.

On my 29M I move the seat all the way back, tilt the steering wheel up, lean the back of the seat forward then rotate the driver's seat. Works like a champ. I did mod the table though. I moved the mounting bracket on the table a couple of inches over to center the table between the rotated captains chairs.

Used the method from the thread JamieGeek posted, worked like a champ! Can't recline very far, but I can turn all the way around now!

Yep, works great. Didn't have the table in, I'll try that tomorrow.
