Tom N3EQF, do you know if this applies to propane generators? Or just gasoline generators?

I have never had to hold the stop button prior to starting our propane generator but I will try to do that before the next start. You would think the stop button would prevent fuel flow rather than produce it.

Electrical outlets in Compass 23TR

I have a question for you Compass 23TR owners out there....

I was looking at the electrical diagram for my 23TR, and it says there are TWO 120 volt duplex outlets in the nightstand! For the life of me, I don’t recall ever seeing them. I am familiar with the USB charging port on the end of the slide, but I don’t recall seeing the outlets. The diagram shows one on either side, in the walls adjacent to the headboard.

My Compass is in storage, and this is driving me (more) crazy! Can anyone help me out?

I definitely have an outlet on the passenger side of the bed at the headboard (as that is where I leave my phone charger plugged in while camping on shore power). It is hard to see as it is under the counter that runs along under the rear side window. I think I saw one on the driver's side too...

Does anyone with at Compass/Gemini 23TR know the width of the screen door? I'm picking ours up in April. We have a big dog. And am looking at buying protector for the screen. Looking at Camco 43980 RV Aluminum Screen Door Standard Grille.

23-1/2 edge to edge looks like some of that may go against the framing of the door. sorry I can not take a picture.

As Safari says, 23-1/2 door, actual screen without frameing is 20-1/2. Sorry the picture turned sideways.

Thats one thing I think they planned well. I have never had a shortage of recepticals. Of course, I am limited to what I can take along that plugs in because of space.

Picked up Friday and running great again. I had a another DPF soot accumulation code. The fix was to run a manual regeneration and reprogram the powertrain control module per a TSB for my vin#.
vfrhugh, I was re-reading the thread and saw your posts (#387 and #441) on your troubles with the diesel exhaust filter. We had the same problem last summer when on our first big trip with our then-new Compass 23TR. We were driving through Idaho, using cruise, 65 MPH, and got the warning "Exhaust Filter Overloaded" and "Drive to Clean". Continued driving did not clear the warning. Called the Ford dealer back home (none of the dealers in the area could get us in), and their suggestion was to keep driving. We finally had to stop for fuel, and turning off the ignition seemed to clear the warning. It returned once we were back on the highway. This happened several more times driving through Montana and North Dakota. On a whim, we decided to stop using cruise control, and didn't get another warning the rest of the way home!

Once we got home, we took it into the local Ford dealer, and they did a manual clean on the exhaust filter...for $299! Their best guess as to what caused the issue was that we weren't driving aggressively enough, and needed to accelerate more aggressively when on the highway. Not sure I buy that...

We haven't used cruise since, and haven't had any more issues with the "filter overloaded" warning coming on. Currently have about 7400 miles on our rig.

We are planning a spring trip, 2000+ miles, and would really like to use cruise control. Wondering if you (or any others) have had any further issues?
