Thor Four Winds 2016 24ft

Picked up new home 5 days ago. Drove from Dallas to Denver avg. 7mpg

Refrigerator will run on propane for about 30 min. then dbl flashing lights. This time of year no dealer has time to diagnose or repair. This is a problem for us as we are boondockers. Non stop running the generator in the quiet mountains... not optimal.

Husband figured out the magnetic switch is sticking so he created a work around until we can get her in for diagnostics & probable replacement of switch.

We knew we were buying a budget motorhome but the cheapness of the rig baffles us. The techniques used in constructing the rig.... cheap and lazy. We do not feel we got our money's worth
Maybe if this rig cost $40k it would be worth it. Then when you spend $$$$$$ to make things right you would not feel cheated.

Don't feel bad: All Thor's are that way (in fact most of the units in the industry are that way).

Jamie is correct. You will see from this forum that the quality in manufacturing RVs does not exists no matter what you buy. My unit is not on the high end and we have been very lucky but I also bought it with 1600 miles on it from the dealer. I am starting to also believe the dealer is vital to buying an RV. The dealer we bought it from goes over everything with a fine tooth comb to make sure it is in top shape when it leaves the lot, I don't think this happens everywhere.
