Harvest Host...Anybody Try This?? - Page 3

We are scheduled at an orchard next weekend. Relatives are meeting us for the day up there. The orchard is having a hard cider/craft beer festival that weekend. Live music too! Now we just have to hang out on the road til we get there. We are at a state park on Santa Rosa beach.

Well you guys convinced me..I just signed up; now that hard part: convincing the rest of the family to try it out (yeah I know that sounds backwards but I figure at worst I'd be out one year and I wanted to see the map of what was available near us--quite a few farms. Hmm!).

If you only use it once...you win!! Our trip this weekend (one night) only cost me $400, not counting dinner!! That's what we worked for and that's why we saved it. I've never seen a hearse hauling a U-Haul Trailer!!

No big deal...for $49 a year, who could ask anything more! I have family and friends in Imlay City, Lapeer, Traverse City, Grand Rapids and Detour Village. Have come to love Michigan...especially the Cheeseburger Festival in Caseville!!

I'm sold! This is awesome! I have never heard of Harvest Host. I am a little hesitant because you can't see what's available until you sign up, but we'll probably use it anyway. Heading north out of FL in October to north GA and NC to meet up with RV friends and need a place to overnight on the way up and again on the way back home. This should be perfect. Thanks all for sharing!

Once you join, the map opens up to way more than you would ever think is available on the website. Plus, it's money back if not happy. We're sold.

HH has recently teamed up with golf courses across the country. I don't see this as an advantage for me as I don't golf as much as before and carrying the clubs around takes up too much space. There are others who are addicted to the sport and could really benefit from it while traveling. Most GC's do not have a restaurant and the HH program is based on the hopes you will do business with them and purchase their products during your free stay. If you love gold and "swing weekly", it could be a real advantage.
