Head Light Covers
I had a heck of a time trying to find head light covers for my coach. I looked everywhere on the internet and almost every RV store within 50 or so miles.
People at stores never heard of them, let alone know what I was talking about. I had to explain very slowly and in much detail what I was trying to describe to them.
I gave up and decided to make my own. Made paper templates and cut them out of same material as the windshield cover. And sewed magnets in the cornors.
Here in Florida sunlight can be very rough on the plastic lens of headlights. So, what do you all think of them?
Sorry pic is sideways.

Ingenious Award for the Year!! You don't have to worry about forgetting to take them off either. If they're strong enough to stay on while driving, you've accomplished another "Florida Specific" issue with plastic headlights...sandblasting.

Thats awesome. I dont think I would drive with them on (might loose them or perhaps the troops would pull you over).
Great idea.

they aren't meant to be on while driving just during storage although maybe having light covers while driving would keep bugs off the light lens.

Yeah I was thinking they would be nice for bugs and rocks while driving. Perhaps if they hang on well and your on an extra buggy drive durring the day time I might give it a shot.

Yes....they eat glue for lunch and get the poop slapped out of them by your cars. Only thing that will dissolve them is Windex. If they stay on too long...paint chips!!!

As a former rental car shop owner...... Spray the front of the RV with "Pam". Just don't do the windshield. Love bugs literally spray off with water!! We did this with all our cars we rented during love bug season. People would leave the bugs on for a week at a time and turn the car in 100% covered in love bugs. The Pam makes it extremely easy to wash off.

Yea, heard about PAM along time ago, also heard that long term use of PAM is bad on the clear coat finish. Good old soap and water and don't forget the elbow grease.

Welcome Luc.......I think you said that you are afraid the plastic lens will overheat. My High School French was great 40 years ago and is worse now for sure. Probably a good point. For storage only though it is probably a good idea for protecting the lenses from sun damage.
I would hate to change lamps or the entire light fixture(s) on the front of my ACE......they are crammed in the front cowl pretty well. It would be nice if you could find a rock guard for the front lenses. I have not really looked but I suspect not easy to attach even if you could mod something.
