Hello-2014 Thor Hurricane 34F

Hi everyone. We just traded in our TT and picked up a new 2014 Thor Hurricane 34f. We drove 1700 in 2 days from California to Texas to trade in our TT, then drove our new MH 1700 miles back to California in 2 days. What an adventure!

Last November I drove over 2400 miles in 4 days from Florida to California to pickup our 2014 Thor Hurricane 34E.

We stayed at DisneyWorld for a few nights while getting used to the workings of the motorhome. Then, it was a really crazy mad dash to visit New Orleans and Carlsbad Caverns on the way home.

If I ever do that again I'll give myself at least 7 days, with more sightseeing in between.

Enjoy! New owner here as well. Quick question, do you have speakers next to or around your couch? Do they work with the living room tv? Mine only work with the car stereo. Seems like they didn't hook it up to work with the tv (via a switch). Too bad. But other than that, I'm very pleased Keep us updated!

So far logged over 5000 miles and we are really enjoying it. I just picked a new Jeep Wrangler unlimited as a toad. Bought a Blue Ox tow bar from Craigslist. It works great!

Just sold my Safari LS Airstream and going to get a 2015 Hurricane. Been looking all over California trying to compare pricing but it keeps going back to MHSRV.com

Any comments/feedback will be appreciated.

Long road trip - engine performance

We are moving from a very nice TT to a motorhome. Looking hard at the HUrricane 34F - primarily because of the drop down bed (lots of grandkids). So how about it you long trippers - give me your take on how the 34F handled on the interstate and in the mountains. Especially interested in toad experience.

Like to know takes from you all on adequate power on mountains, gas mileage, effects of tractor trailers on stability?

I hear a LOT about folks talking about getting really bothered by tractor trailers or lots of engine noise or lack of power on grades.

Thank you much.

Ben
