help with direct TV!

We have a 2017 Tuscany XTE that came wired for direct TV. We thought all we had to do was connect our receiver box but could not get it to connect. We got error code 775 telling us to reset the SWiM adapter but we couldn't find a SWiM adapter!

Did it also come with a satellite antenna? Typically the terms "wired for DirecTV" or "wired for satellite" simply mean that the manufacturer has pre-wired the cabling from the entertainment center to a spot on the roof for an antenna.

yes,it is called a Windgard trav'ler and we watched it rotate to find the signal.

After you connected the receiver, did you go through the "Satellite Setup" process? This is where you need to tell the receiver what type of dish you have. The Trav'ler should have the information in the manual for the screens that are shown. You may have to repeat this process occasionally.

If you don't have the manual, Winegard has the manuals available online. The Trav'ler manual is at http://www.winegard.com/kbase/uploads/2452282.pdf.

The error message 775 said to unplug the SWiM adaptor, which we could not find. We will call Thor tomorrow to see if it is hidden behind a panel in the cabinet.

775 means receiver is not seeing dish. Swm detector has to be in line with your receiver and dish with nothing in between. This is where you split to various tvs
