How do I get the outside TV off of its mount

I have a 2009 Hurricane 34BH. I want to replace the outside TV mount so it can be viewed at a better angle/tilt. I can’t seem to figure out how to get it off the mount. Anybody know the answer?

Thanks

In my ACE you must remove the mount from the backwall. 4 Screws, 2 top, 2 bottom.

I can’t get to the mount to get it off the side of my RV

I can’t access the back of the mount to release it from the RV or take the TV off the mount. I know this sounds odd but the tv is attached to the mount and the mount is attached to the outside . There is no way to access it from inside. Very frustrating. I’m thinking there must be some trick to releasing the tv bracket from the mount so it can be replaced or repaired.

Thanks for your reply.

A lot of outside TV's have a magnetic release so you can pull them out and adjust them. Try pulling on your TV and see if it will release. Also all mounting screws will be accessible.

Great question, I want to change the outside mount on my Palazzo, but like yours, I can't get to the screws.

Try using a mirror, to see what you can't see...

I had this issue on my Class C Freedom Elite.
I wanted to remove the TV and install it in the bedroom.
I used an inspection mirror and could not see anything because the TV was mounted so close to the wall. I finally used a bore scope camera and was able to see two nuts near the top. These fasteners were almost impossible to access but I was able to get them loose. Still couldn't get the TV to come off.
I finally forced the TV off the wall.
What I discovered was; the TV base plate was fastened to the fiberboard wall with four bolts that were threaded directly into the fiberboard, no inserts. That's why it came off the wall so easy. This is the plate that was mounted to the wall

The part of the mount that was attached to the TV fit into a a spring loaded release lever that was attached to the base plate. However, none of this could be seen with the TV in place. It was at the bottom of the TV.

The part on the left was screwed to the TV. The part on the right was attached to the base plate with nuts. The tabs on the top of the part on the left fit into slots in the part on the right. The bottom of the part on the left snaps into the silver latch on the part on the right.

The problem with this installation, in my opinion, is to install the TV into this mount, you have to slide the tabs UP into the slots, and then snap the bottom into the latch.

Since you cannot see any of this mechanism, there is no way to know how it works. There is no identification on the parts (p/n's) other than a Made in China sticker.
Also, in my opinion, even if you know how this mechanism is installed, it would be near impossible to access the latch release. A very poor design.
Don't know if this helps or not, but that was my experience.

When I say "backwall" i'm talking about the wall behind the TV. The screws are accessible from the front just below and just above the TV. YMMV

That's how I removed my TV, too. Get a flashlight to see those screws. I bought my new TV wall mount that tilts & turns at Harbor Freight. It looks intimidating on the box, but you do not need the wide rails. Measurements are most important, making sure it is in the middle of your opening. If I can do it by myself, you can easily do it. I liked it so well that I bought a 2nd one & replaced my main TV, too, which had a left side hinge only. And now I can turn it in both directions. Love it. Plus outdoor TV, you can watch working at your outdoor kitchen, too!
