Smile I guess this is goodbye!

Well, I can't take you guys any more! I'm leaving Thor Forums.

Actually, we have decided to go full time and just signed a purchase order on a much larger Class A (Fleetwood Bounder 35P)!!! Our Vegas was a great intro to the motorhome world and we seriously could not have done it without all of you on this wonderful forum. When we had a problem or concern, it was solved in less than a day nearly every single time! For that, we are very grateful and we thank you.

We placed our order yesterday for a custom-made unit that should be ready by mid-February. We will live in an RV park for at least six months each winter in Florida, then spend the other six months touring and visiting family.

Excited, scared, thankful, ...

Thanks again, everyone. Hope to see you in the "other" forums!

t

Thanks. I'm sure I won't delete my account but helping people will be from memory, and I'm not sure that will be real helpful or not!

If you're going to strip out some of your mods, contact me so I can buy the ones I haven't done yet.

TimmyB,
Please stick around. It's always been fun visiting with you, and we'd hate to lose a member of the Family.

Good luck with your new adventures. Fleetwood certainly makes some fine machines. My last coach was a Storm and it served us well. By all means stick around here. Quite a few of us here have non-Thor machines. I think you’ll find that many of the threads are sufficiently generic to be of real value to you in your Bounder. And your friends here will surely be glad to help if you have issues. All he best.

Remember that little jingle in your head when you joined here..."Welcome To The Hotel California"? You can never leave! All of these things are built very similar and there's no forum on the internet that's more helpful than here. Just sit back, settle down and don't burn the best bridge on the highway! Congrats on the new unit.

Thank you! We are very excited by what we hope is our last big purchase, which will hopefully last as long as we do!!!

We'll definitely scan the threads for useful info.

That song is one of the very few where I can remember exactly where I was the first time I heard it! " 'Relax', said the nightman..."

You are definitely correct: this is an incredible place. I'm sure you've not seen the last of me.

Thanks!!!

I sat at the front desk of and stole an ash tray from the bar of Hotel California the song was named after. It's in Todos Santos, Mexico. We spent a week in Cabo and rented a car for a couple days to drive north and dive a few coastal locations. The Baja is gorgeous and pretty safe...at least if you take your dive guide along with you and pay his way. Lots of hotels claim theirs is the one in the song...I think this is the real one, although they even claim it's not! Something to do with copyrights. Lots of narrow hallways and iron gates throughout. Spooky after growing up with the song. You can't walk through it without singing the song over and over to yourself...spooky! You keep hearing the song in your head when you quit singing.

It's really funny because when we first decided to get a MH early in 2019, we were looking at really small Class C's and my wife saw a Bounder and started to look at it. I said, "What are you thinking? We don't want anything that big!"

I hope it's as good as it looks!

You have to wonder if they keep a crate of ashtrays in the back because people always take them!!!

You are going to love it. My wife and I are going to the Tampa RV show in January. She has her eye on a Tiffin 33AA. I hope I can hold her off for at least another year.
