Infant seat

I have a Thor 24ST. I would like to be able to put infant seat on couch. I know this may not be recommended but wondering if anyone is doing it. I will secure the seat with seat belts and improvise a rear tie down. The seat will be side facing not front. Any advice?

my advice, don't do it. They aren't designed for side facing installation.

In mine, the dinette is the best place for a child seat. I figure the best way is to put it into bed mode then strap it in using the lap belts as you would in a car without the LATCH system.
I liked the bed mode better too when the kids get older and are in booster seats....my thinking is that table is a head knocker in case I do a short stop.....

You mention 'infant seat' and "won't be front facing"... so not sure if you really mean infant - typically REAR facing... or child - typically forward facing...

I wouldn't install an infant seat any way but rear facing... The dinette is likely the only choice on most rigs to accommodate that.. A prior rig didn't have seatbelts in that bench though...

For a child seat - I did strap one in side facing once... Prefer the dinette seat there too - with table (head knocker) removed... I've tossed around ways to add a shoulder strap in that area - but we don't travel that way often.
