Keep house batteries charged with Battery Tender?

I probably know the answer to this but is it possible to keep your house batteries charged with a charger hooked to your inverter? I am guessing the inverter and charger will draw more than the charger will put out. Anyone try it? Is there a charger out there that would work?

I’m not sure I understand. If you are plugged in, the converter/ charger charges your house batteries automatically. If you are not plugged in the inverter works off your house batteries. Running a charger off of your inverter would be pulling power from your batteries, running them thru your inefficient inverter and then putting the power back into your batteries. It would accomplish nothing except running down your house batteries.

Not plugged in to shore power so your second observation is correct.

That is what I thought, the inverter and charger would draw more than the charger would put out.

You would have invented a perpetual motion machine, solved the worlds power problems and made billions.
