Leveling system "crash". Hydraulics?

Hello All. Looking for some info with the LCI leveling system. We have a 2016 Thor Outlaw Class A. It has a LCI leveling system. Here's the question: Is the leveling system suppose to "crash" suddenly down when retracting levelers? When I tell the system to retract all levelers the whole unit just drops with a sudden "crash"; it seems the hydraulic valve(s) just open and don't "bleed" off to slowly lower the levelers.. I thought that since this is a hydraulic system that the levelers would gently lower until they were fully retracted. It's rather alarming when we retract the levelers because of this. Note, this also happens when retracting one leveler at a time. Any of you had this experience?

Wouldn't describe mine as a "crash", but if I fail to raise the airbags I get a series of hard bumps as the coach lowers.

Mine does the same thing. I wouldn't call it crashing down out if definitely provides a jolt. I will definitely follow this post to learn more about this.

Yup, it seems to release all at once...a little noisy.

Yep. One of the reasons, I bring in the slides first.

I agree, you should always bring in the slides first before retracting the jacks.

With all the recent discussions on the forum about leveling systems -- crashing down, lifting tires off the ground, not operating and legs coming down, legs not wanting to come up -- I think i''ll stick with the Lynx Leveler blocks (Lego blocks). The worse that could happen they might crack, but they require no reset.

Yeah--the Auto jacks are very sensitive...very princess like----but I will say if you contact Lippert Cust Service they are very responsive! We learned alot about them and have discovered to never use "automatic' mode....we always make coach as level as can, put pad under the jacks and then do manual mode- and even that has to be studied as to what two come down together and what two retract together---still easier, less jerky and less crazy!!
