Looking at a 2014 ACE 27.1

Hi - I am looking pretty hard at a '14 ACE 27.1.

A few questions for the knowledgeable members on here:

- does the size of the wall slide on this unit need a 3 TRAX system? or is 2 tracks sufficient?
- does the toilet flush directly into the black tank or is there a noticeable/substantial length of sewer pipe (esp. if it curves)?
- how does the 13.5K BTU AC work on this unit in hot (Texas) temps?
- any other items to look for? we are going to go check it out in person later this week

Many thanks!

I needed a new controller for the slide probably because the dealer never kept the battery charged. Learn how to equalized the slide motors, always keep the button on for 3-4 seconds after opening or closing the slide and enjoy enjoy.

The toilet flushes directly into the black tank.

The AC cooling depends upon a lot of variables such as sun position vs windshield and the coach starting indoor temp. Highest we have seen is 110 in Vegas and in NV. What would be nice is a second small AC in the bedroom.

We r very happy with our ACE 27.1. You will need to check alignment front and rear, probably need some track bars etc. do a search for my posts on my upgrades.

Also see if the Jensen 212 radio has been upgraded to the 215N, if not it probably needs to be done.

I wanted an entry level coach so I could do my own upgrades at the quality levels and capacities that I wanted which is what I have done.
