Models that have full side slide.
Can anyone help me with models that have the full side slide? I know the Fourwinds has the 31e and 31W for the 2017 and 2018 models. I like the 31W model but want a unit a few years old to reduce depreciation.
Any suggestions?

Just be aware looking at older units with full wall slide - Thor changed from a 2 track to 3 track slide system earlier this year (maybe late last year)...
Older units (that haven't been retrofitted) would still have the 2 track system.
Search the forum for 'full wall slide' and you will find a lot if information. You can decide for yourself if that is important to you.

If it's a full wall slide with two tracks it may be problematic. As GMC said Thor switched to a three track system because of problems with the two track.

Hardtime01 due you have a 27.1 or 29.3 ?
if you look at the side of the slide it will have two tracks or three.
See below what one looks like.

If it is a three track system there will be two tracks at the top and one at the bottom.

With all the talk of slide problems QC and what not I was talking to one of my neighbors at the RV park I was at this weekend driving a $300,000+ Phaeton. He's had numerous slide problems with his big slide, a problem with a window coming loose and his blackwater drain completely separated which kind of sums it all up. Maybe they're all crap too! I'm of the belief you get what you get whether it be two track, three track, or 27 track and learn to deal with it. My son-in-law has the exact same model as mine, with 34,000 miles and other than tightening/replacing an occasional screw it has been problem free.

My ACE 30.2 with the full wall slide was built in November 2014 and it has the 3Trax system. I think the switch was in the 4th quarter of 2014, as I looked at earlier 2015 units and they only had 2 trax.

The Four Winds 24F has a full, wall slide.
I’m not sure how much depreciation you’ll save. If you’re wanting newer technologies, you’re going to have to step up to a newer model. The used, newer RV market is such that prices are staying up around brand new prices.
