Another trip comes to a close

Well another trip with the Challenger has come to a close. As for the coach:

500 miles round trip with no issues.
Slides - extended twice, retracted 3 times - no issues
Water heater - no issues
Overhead bunk - lowered twice, raised twice - no issues.
Leveling Jacks - Lowered twice raised 3 times - no issues
Water system - no issues
Electrical system - no issues
Generator - 11 hours of run time - no issues (ran genny for coach AC)
Outdoor Kitchen - the Aussie grill has to go. No wonder they discontinued their line of gas grills because they have become crap.

That D*&^ed Axxerra radio - started loosing power again on the way home. Kathy called the dealer while we were driving and I have an appointment scheduled for the week after next (they wanted it earlier but I will out of town on business)

We did have to change campsites our last day there because the water hydrant on our site developed a leak and the owners requested we move so they would not damage our coach with their bucket loader. They refunded us one night's fees for the trouble.

Great trip and extremely satisfied with the coach.

Its funny you do this because we do the same thing when we get home. Start naming off all the things that are still good and then make a list of the things that need fixing.
You're right that grill does suck, it wont stay lite and always have to use a litter to lite it.
but always a good trip when you make it home in one peace... Life is good...

3rd Axxerra installed today

Well today begins the first day with the third (3rd) Axxerra radio in my coach. Kudos to Safford RV (Thornburg, VA) for having someone available on a Saturday to do the install and get us in and out (t include test drive) in under 90 minutes. Normally on Saturday they are open for pick up and drop off only.

On the drive back home ~80 miles, the radio remained on and I had no issues with it loosing power. Hopefully the third time is a charm.

Now it's time to start prepping for the July trip.

Dave, always glad to hear the good side about our coaches. We are leaving soon on 7500 mile trip and after all the work Thor factory service did and the frame repair, we anticipate the same.

Do you use the FamCamps? We really like staying with fellow old troopers.

PS: My DW accuses me of just getting home and starting the next trip planning. Gotta say after being house bound for 2.5 months with our his and hers total knee replacements, DW is READY to go.
