Texas Dealer vs Local CW

Phil,
Just curious - did you give your local CW a chance to match the Texas dealer? I was headed to Texas but decided to ask first. The local CW matched the Texas price so I was able to buy from them and skip the "my customers first" warranty problems.
Thanx,
Dan

No, the CW dealers here in Colorado are very proud of their prices.
They were firm at $109,000. and so I went to Texas and saved $20K.

Of course the value of gas powered Class A Thor MH has fallen through
the floor this past year. I bought mine in March of 2015.

Are you referring to new motorhome prices or to the depreciated price?

Just curious because sales data for 2016 showed Class As trailed Class Cs and Bs in growth rate. There is either less interest in As or they have gotten too expensive for many buyers.

I was referring to used gas MH's.

The handling of the Synergy was significantly less stressful.
Absolutely agree with the drivability and handling of a Synergy. They drive better than the Vegas, Ace types by far. If you can find comfort in a 26 foot RV try driving one and let your wife drive it also. My wife and I with our 4 small dogs were looking at RV's for about 5 months after selling an aging 31' and we drove everything from 24 to 36 feet. In the end we grabbed up the 26 foot Synergy due to driving comfort, king bed configuration in the 24tt model and quality. As with everything else bigger seems better at first but when we really considered who would be traveling in it (the 2 of us and the small dogs) the superior chassis and handling along with maneuverable size won out over bigger. We even looked and drove a leisure Mercedes RV. The ride was the best on the market but it was way way too tiny inside. Good luck.

Driveability

Reading the comments about driving both the Axis/Vegas and the Sprinter chassis. I personally did not like the drive of the Sprinter, most likely because I felt trapped in the Class C cab compared to a Class A. I have noticed that owners readily tweak the suspensions on both with aftermarket upgrades. I have seen several Sprinter set ups at the RV shop having a complete suspension upgrade installed. Same comment about both the Ford E450 chassis and the F53. Whatever works for the one or the couple that is driving!

Earl you are absolutely right about that. Everyone likes something different. :-)

Hello
We have the Windsport coming and yes with the two A/C units and 50 amps.
We figured the extra A/C would come in handy living in Florida.
