We have a 2017 Miramar and are flat towing a Jeep. Any recommendations as to mud flaps for our Miramar? Not sure if I should go to a single flap on the back or ones behind each wheel. Also brands used.
We use a product by Protect-A-Tow. It's a skirt between the coach and the toad. Some use a big plastic guard. Some say the problem with traditional low mud flaps and skirts is that they actually kick up rocks. This pic isn't mine, but it is the same setup.

My single mud flaps behind the tires were added by the previous owner. I’ve not yet towed so I can’t say how well they work. It’s interesting to me that when parked both sides solidly touch the ground. I’d have thought this to be a sure recipe for kicking up rocks so I’ve thought of shortening them an inch or so. On the other hand, in several thousand miles of driving they haven’t worn down at all. I guess that means that they “sail” enough when underway to prevent contact with the ground. Long way of asking: what is the optimal height for mud flaps to do the best job?
We have standard equipment rear wheel flaps and we use the Roadmaster Tow Defender. Similar product to the one used by Mr. Sunshine. We just started flat towing with this MH and the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk is a 2109. We just bought this SUV last fall and I was told by DW if I mar up her car I'm toast. After thoroughly researching toad protection we opted for the Roadmaster product. The rear complete cover flap or skirt pick up gravel and toss it up on the toad.

Same story for us....... no toad damage using our 2014 CRV since new. Of course a lot depends on the amount of gravel road traveled over the years, but also I think the distance and clearances from rear tire mud flaps to the toad reduces the chances of road debris damage. We have more minor chip damage on our coach paint from other passing vehicles and so far nothing on the Toad I can attribute to being kicked up from the coach.
We have mud flaps behind each tire that are wider than the tires and ride about 5" off the ground when aired up. Need to be that high so they don't hit the ground on uneven ground when parked.
Then we have our mud flap across the back. It is 5" off the ground so it does not throw anything at the CRV but stops the little bit that gets under the tires, or that is kicked up just from the wind created with the movement of the coach.
Even stopped a run over squirrel. What a mess.

Yep... depends a bit on what you tow...
Our Jeep bumper height is very close to MH height... Zero rise or drop in tow bar.
Single mud flap (Oem) behind each tire, and nothing hits the Jeep...
Broke two windshield just driving the Jeep... No damage or issues when towed.
Following thread to gather more info. We have a 29M and the front of our CRV has taken a beating in the last 10,000 miles. The factory installed mudflaps don't seem to keep anything off the front end. We've been towing this CRV for 5 or 6 years and the last coach never left a mark but the Hurricane seems to live up to it's name.
