New Owner - Thor Hurricane 35M - Hood will not open

Trying to check the fluids. Turned the hex keys to what I thought was released. Hood moves somewhat but will not open. Suggestions?

Thor makes there hood pull straight out then it goes up maybe difficult due to shocks holding the hood in place it takes a firm pull to get it out

One more thing on hood it will not pop out with a spring , remember it has shocks on it which means a steady pull pressure is required to get past the close position

On mine you turn both locks to the left to unlock it. When new it came out straight very hard. DW pulled on one side and I the other. Pull out straight then push up. While you got it open spray lubricant at all the pivot points. Work it back and forth about 20 times. It will loosen up.

If you bend down and watch when you turn the key, you can actually see the lever turning. Make sure that you turn each key enough that both are actually unlatched. Then, as others have indicated, pull out and then up. After one or two tries, it will come naturally.

"Wm",
Congratulations on your new purchase, and welcome to our end of the playground!
It's pretty easy at first; to try and be too gentle with these things. It'll all become second nature soon enough!

On my Windsport, I crawled underneath the front & looked up to make sure I had both sides unlocked.

Then I also tapped on the metal brackets to help break things loose. We had some extreme cold & I wasn't sure if it was maybe frozen a bit.

I still had to wiggle both sides to get it to eventually open.

I had to get the edge on one side & then was able to get the other side...Way harder than it should have been.

I lubricated it as best I could and worked it up and down about 40-50 times.

It's still too stiff, but at least I can open it now.

When I put my unit in for warranty work a month ago, I did list this as an item.

Will be interesting to see if they find a way to loosen it up.

I pull out/down lightly from the top first, then pull out and up from the top and bottom, Fromm the middle.
