New to R.V. Ownership

I purchased, a few months ago, 2018 Thor Freedom Elite 22FE. In looking as best I can through manuals and in access areas of coach I am not able to ascertain whether or not my R.V. has a built in battery charger when plugged into shore power. Can anyone else that owns a similar rig answer if this model is able to have coach batteries charged while plugged into shore power? Thank you for any responses.

I think that they do...

Here's a way to test it:
Use your rig for a while (Leaving it unplugged!)
Note the condition of your batteries on the monitor.
Plug into shore power for a day...
unplug, and see what condition the batteries are in.

I would think that ANY rv with 'house batteries' would HAVE to have a charger, otherwise how would they get charged? Shore Power is the charging power source, and sometimes your vehicle alternator as well.

You also can simply put a voltmeter on the battery when plugged in: If its 13V or more there is something charging it (them--check both batteries after you've been plugged in for a few minutes).

Hey Steve,
If there is a "Use" / "Store" switch by the door as you enter make sure it is in the "Use" position when plugged in otherwise it will not charge your batteries, at lease it won't on my Hurricane.

Nope, just a off/on rocker switch.

Then just make sure that it's in the "On" position.
