One of many reasons we went with the bath and a half. Every time we go out, there's another reminder why it's a great idea.

We only have "The Bath": no "Half".
But on the bright side: it's less to keep clean!

Personally as long as I don't feel rain I am fine w/ it.... To each his own. I try to spend as little time in the rig as possible when I am out.

There's always lots of trees around, that could stand a bit of watering...

Talking drop down bed

well now,
our rated limit is 250 pounds so i'm out on that one cause that would let me put my head and arms /legs and chest on the bunk...my big fat Scot arse would be left to hang down and to the side...what a sight that might.wanna bet that would scare all the guests away real fast?

That’s one of the reasons we went with the Hurricane 31s weight limit 500 lbs on the bunk

In one of the videos on the internet, the ACE rep says it was tested at 500 but rated at 250. Do with that what you will.

It is rated at 250 lbs. in the A.C.E. They told me it was tested at 500, but rated at 250. Some other Thors are rated at 500 lbs, but they also use a different support and lift mechanism than the A.C.E.

The limit seems to be the thickness of the wood support. The jacknife upper bunk on the 27.2 has sufficient support at the edges. If you have heavier people using the bunk you may want to cut thicker plywood to support the bed. You will only give up a half inch of space to get higher weight allowance.

Oh! come on.....let's not start stereotyping.

We had a Vegas and the overhead was rated 500 pounds. We upgraded to an ACE 29.3 so we could have room for the grandkids to travel with us. It wasn't until after we purchased it I noticed the weight limit was 250. At that rating only smaller kids can sleep up there, but the other kids are too tall to sleep in the dinette bed or sofa and weigh too much for the overhead. What a disappointment. I'm sure its the mechanism they use in the ACE vs Vegas that makes the difference. Bummer.
