Wow, well of coarse if it dont pass the PDI and they are not willing to fix it that day or the next I would walk away.
But it sound like MHSRV would make it right so I bet they dont have too many folks backing out last minute like some other dealership have.

The guy next to me said MHSRV did a FaceTime with him and his wife. Spent about an hour walking around and through it. This was a diesel pusher major $$.

Picked it up Saturday, went well. Couple of minor issues they fixed while signing papers.
Stay the night at a KOA in Mercer, PA. We ended staying up till midnight figuring all the new gadgets out. We really love the motorhome.
I came home and did the CHF and what a difference that made. I was impressed. I was also surprise home easy it was to drive VS my 44' toy hauler and dually. Took me a little to figure out I didn't have to make wide right hand turns.
We should of bought a motor home years ago.

Tip- yes don’t buy a new one. However, if you must, search this forum for the challenger thread, read up on the problems and modifications and become familiar with the unit. Most of the time you know what to ask but some of the time, you don’t know what you don’t know. You are buying two vehicles: the chassis and the motorhome structure. Both come with challenges although the chassis is probably more reliable. Consider all the systems that make up the unit and thoroughly check out the systems under operating conditions (under loads so to speak). Simple things like the hot water and cold water operated on the correct side and can operate from the propane and electric. Do all the TVs operate from the cable or satellite or are they separated. There is much more to say. Best recommendation is to create an exhaustive checkout procedure and walk through it until your are satisfied.

Agree with the comment about getting service before paying
The dealer, when we bought our Thor Daybreak, was so nice and agreeable when we were in the buying process but once we had paid, that all changed. When we realized we had issues after we brought the RV home, he wouldn’t even return our calls! So, do those thorough checks and demand that anything you find be fixed before making payment. You might not catch everything because some things don’t surface until that first camping trip but you’ll still be ahead of the game compared to those who don’t check at the dealership.

We are spending the long weekend in Grundy, VA. for our second trip. All is good except for the refrigerator evaporator fan is not working. Only the bottom of the freezer and refrigerator are cold. We will get this taking care of on Tuesday.
We are really enjoying the motor home over the fifth wheel.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Thor had the new shade to us in 48 hours and whirlpool had the new fan to us in the same time.
Both customer services were very easy to work with.
