Your radio/camera monitor is hooked to your house batteries. If your in use switch is not on, then the unit will not work.
From your questions on what the two radios are, did your dealer not do a Pre Delivery Inspection with you? Did they not go through all the items on your coach and explain how they function, how to use them.....etc? If not, maybe you certainly should try to arrange some more time with them. Or take your unit some place and talk to a fellow RVer, explain to them your new,and ask them to do a walk through with you.

May be true on the Sprinter chassis you have... but the Freedom Elite is on the Ford F-53 - and I expect from what I have seen that the radio/camera is powered from the house batteries - intended to be used in the coach while parked without needing the key.

Now we have all seen that even the same models have inconsistencies - so any individual rig could be different... but pretty easy to check and see.

Wrong. His unit is on a Ford F-450 chassis. It's a class C.

Oops... yep - on the 450 - but still on Ford chassis the main radio/camera power is typically from the coach batteries... which was the point of the post.

I will do my best....as the Axis is not in our driveway...
I think you will go into menu and scroll through it with the + - keys, if I remember correctly...it has been a year since I did this...once you locate the backlight ... you have the option of increasing/reducing the brightness...I turned it off completely and don't miss it at all.

If my instructions are not correct..let me know and I will visit the Axis and go through the steps !

Axis on E450 .. Axxera radio is on chassis battery ... when turning off motor, always make sure you manually turn off radio, as it will stay on and cause battery drain.

That's interesting, on my Freedom Elite it's on the house battery.

Why I've learned to add statements like this to my posts as I did above:
"Now we have all seen that even the same models have inconsistencies - so any individual rig could be different... but pretty easy to check and see. "

The only thing consistent is that results will be inconsistent.

Mother Mercedes is very particular about chassis electrical. Coach power and chassis power cannot be interconnected. My Sprinter does not have an emergency start switch because MB will not allow the coach battery to be connected to the chassis battery.
My dash radio Axxera and camera display Bluetooth are all on Chassis 12volt, Jensen house radio, Cd, DVD usb all on coach electrics.

guess we all need gmc's disclaimer staement--maybe a sticky

On my coach the Jensen's aux input is hooked to the outside TV. Just select aux and B speakers and the TV plays through the outside speakers. The DirecTV RF remote still controls the TV volume. I thought all Plant 750 coaches were wired that way. The guys at MHSRV showed me how to work it during the PDI.

It controls music outside and bedroom speakers. I took me months to figure how to get it to work and turn the light off. Finally downloaded Manuel.

Seems like different models are wired differently. On ours, the Axera dash radio, rear camera display, phone connections etc, will only run off the chassis battery. The Jensen house radio will only run off house batteries. No way to switch them, maybe could re-wire, but the way it is, works for me.

I added my own, got tired of jumping the Sprinter battery when we accidentally left on the radio. This switch uses a key and is wired back to the generator lead.

in addition, you will find information regarding the options regarding the speakers, etc.
